Transcribe audio to text

Drop an audio file into Notibo, or record from your laptop, and get the full transcript back in about a minute, in the language it was spoken in. More than 80 languages are covered, and auto-detect copes with speakers switching between them. On top of the transcript, Notibo writes a summary and main points, and you can download it all as Word or PDF. Try Pro free for 14 days with 240 minutes, no card, nothing to install.

How it works

Add the audio

Upload an MP3, M4A, WAV, OGG or MP4 file of up to 50 MB. Or press record: Notibo records from your laptop microphone for up to 2 hours, or from a tab with system audio.

Pick the language, or leave it on auto-detect

Set the language when the whole recording is in one. Leave the picker on auto-detect when people switch, say between English and Spanish. It copes with a change of language mid-sentence.

Read, correct, download

Correct the text where it needs it, download the transcript as Word or PDF, or share a link others can only read.

A long recording is saved in smaller files as it runs and joined again afterwards, so a crashed tab or a failed upload does not cost you the recording.

What you get back

The transcript sits on the left, split by speaker where Notibo can tell them apart. On the right sit the AI summary, the main points and the action items, each of them editable. A lecture becomes notes you can revise from, and a meeting becomes minutes.

Languages

More than 80 languages are transcribed, from English, Danish and German to Spanish, French, Dutch, Italian, Portuguese, Arabic and Hindi. Notibo was built and tested on Danish and English, so Danish is handled directly, not as an afterthought to English. Names, numbers and technical terms still deserve a read-through, as with any transcription.

What it costs

You can try Pro free for 14 days with 240 minutes, no card. After that the free plan gives you 30 minutes of audio a month. Pro is €9.99 a month or €88.99 a year and gives 1,200 minutes a month, subject folders and flashcards from recordings. Prices are in euro; the local amount shows at checkout.

Where the audio goes

Your account, recordings and notes are stored in the EU. Transcription and AI notes run on US processors under the EU standard contractual clauses, all named in our privacy policy. The audio file is deleted as soon as the transcript and notes are saved. If a step fails, the audio is kept for one day only, so it can be run again. We train nothing on your content, and we opt out of model training on every transcription request.

Interviews, lectures and meetings

If you record interviews for a thesis, you are responsible for that data, and your university has rules on which tools you may use for personal data. Read them, and get consent from the person you interview, before you upload. Lectures and meetings can be recorded directly in Notibo, from the microphone or from a tab with system audio, with no bot joining the call.

Questions about transcription

Which file types can I upload?

MP3, M4A, AAC, WAV, OGG, Opus, FLAC, WebM, MP4 and MOV, up to 50 MB per file. From a video, only the audio is used.

How long can a recording be?

A recording in Notibo runs up to 2 hours. An uploaded file can be 50 MB; how many minutes that holds depends on the file's audio quality. If a file is too large, split it in two.

Is it free?

Yes. You can try Pro free for 14 days with 240 minutes, no card. When the trial ends, the account carries on for free with 30 minutes a month. If you need more, Pro is €9.99 a month and gives 1,200 minutes.

Can I transcribe interviews for my thesis?

Technically yes: upload the file and the text comes back. But interview data is personal data, and your university decides which tools you may use for it. Ask the library or your supervisor before you upload, and get consent from the person you interview.

Where is my audio file stored?

In the EU, and only until the transcript and notes are saved. Then the audio file is deleted. The transcript and notes stay on your account until you delete them. The transcription itself runs on US processors under the EU standard contractual clauses.
