Frequently asked questions

Here you will find answers to the most common questions about Notibo.

What is Notibo?

Notibo is an AI note-taker for lectures and meetings. It listens, or reads documents you upload, and turns them into structured notes, summaries, key points and action items. You can also generate flashcards for studying.

How does Notibo work?

You record a lecture or meeting, or upload a document. Notibo transcribes it and uses AI to produce clean structured notes, a summary, key points and action items. You can also get flashcards for studying.

Can Notibo be used for both lectures and meetings?

Yes. It works for lectures and for meetings, in person and online.

Am I allowed to record my lecture?

Rules differ by university and by lecturer, so ask first and check your institution's policy before you record. This is not legal advice.

Does Notibo handle Danish?

Yes. Danish is one of the two languages Notibo was built and tested on, and both the model that transcribes your recording and the fallback behind it support Danish directly, not as an afterthought to English.

Where is my data stored?

Your account, recordings and notes are stored in the EU. Transcription and AI note generation run on US processors under EU Standard Contractual Clauses. All of them are named in our privacy policy.

Are my recordings used to train AI?

No. We train nothing on your content, we opt out of model training on every transcription request, and our AI notes provider is contractually barred from using your prompts to improve its models.

Is there a free version?

Yes. You get 30 minutes of recording per month, no credit card. Full pricing is on the homepage.

Which languages does Notibo support for transcription?

Notibo transcribes more than 80 languages, from Danish and English to German, Spanish, French, Dutch, Italian, Portuguese, Arabic, Hindi, Chinese and Japanese. Pick one before you record, or leave the picker on auto-detect, which is the default, covers all of them, and copes with speakers switching language mid-sentence.

Can I upload documents such as PDF, PowerPoint or Word?

Yes. Upload PDF, PowerPoint or Word files and get a summary, key points and flashcards. Uploaded documents are deleted once processing finishes; if a step fails, the file is kept only so you can retry, and you can delete it yourself at any time under Settings → Privacy & data.

What are flashcards with spaced repetition?

Notibo can automatically turn your notes and documents into flashcards. Spaced repetition shows you each card at the right interval based on the forgetting curve, so you remember more with less effort. Flashcards from recordings, folder-wide decks and spaced repetition are Pro; free documents make up to 10 cards each.

Can I record online meetings from Teams, Zoom or Meet?

Yes. You can capture online meetings by recording your screen and the system audio, which needs Chrome or Edge on a computer. In-person meetings can be recorded from the microphone.

How accurate are the notes and transcription?

Notibo uses high-quality transcription and structures it into clean notes, and it handles academic and technical terms well. As with any AI, it is a good idea to skim the result.

Can I edit and share my notes?

Yes. You can edit the transcript, summary and notes, download them as PDF or Word, and share a read-only link that you can revoke at any time. The audio is never shared.

Does Notibo work on my laptop?

Notibo runs in the browser, so there is nothing to install. Recording an online class (screen and system audio) needs Chrome or Edge on a computer.

Can I delete my recordings and data?

Yes. You can delete your recordings and notes whenever you want. Audio files are deleted from storage as soon as your transcript and notes are generated. Uploaded documents are deleted once processing finishes; if a step fails, the file is kept only so you can retry, and you can delete it yourself at any time under Settings → Privacy & data.
